Guests will be treated to an evening of art, captivating music and light refreshments in the Museum’s elegant Edgar N. Putman Event Pavilion. Reserve tickets in advance for you and your guests to enjoy a spectacular evening of live music.  

Light refreshments and Museum admission are included in ticket price. Seats are assigned in order of purchase. This 90-minute concert will have one intermission. Advance tickets only.  

Hailing from Philadelphia, PA, Tonya Lynette’s repertoire spans across genres with an emphasis on jazz, soul, blues, and R&B. For this special performance, Lynette will be singing favorites from the Great American Songbook as well as original compositions.

Adults will learn drawing techniques, develop skills, and cultivate creativity in this 6-week course. Students of all levels are welcome in this drawing workshop. Students will take a fresh approach to drawing, with a focus on observation, demonstrations, and group critiques. Students will use pencil, charcoal, pastels, and more, as well as a variety of paper and drawing surfaces to create artwork. Students will be inspired by contemporary artists, as well as artworks in the Museum’s collection. Students who have taken drawing before are invited to review and expand on skills developed in other drawing classes.

 The award-winning Resident Artists of Philadelphia’s world-renowned Academy of Vocal Arts (AVA) will return to the Michener Art Museum for a spectacular afternoon of opera and song. For this special performance, audience members who register in advance can vote on songs to be performed by the artists of AVA. This concert will feature classical and near-classical repertoire by international talent with a program to include selections from opera, operetta, and classic Broadway.  

The Academy of Vocal Arts is widely considered the premiere training program for young opera singers and is completely tuition-free – supported by annual contributions, ticket sales, and endowment. AVA alumni are featured on the stages of the world’s great opera houses every season – from the Academy of Music to Covent Garden, from the Metropolitan Opera to La Scala, including many who have starred in the Metropolitan Opera HD live movies. This 90-minute concert will have one intermission.

2023 Holiday Lights Meander at Fonthill Castle

Throughout the holiday season, our daily one-hour guided tours of historic Fonthill Castle showcase Henry Mercer’s home decked out for the holidays while sharing the history of Mercer and the construction of this unbelievable property.

 

Starting on Saturday, November 18, on all weekdays throughout this holiday season, our daily one-hour guided tours of historic Fonthill Castle showcase Henry Mercer’s home decked for the holidays while sharing the history of Mercer and the construction of this unique property. Tours are 60 minutes and guided.

Fonthill Castle’s interior features Mercer’s renowned, handcrafted ceramic tiles designed at the height of the Arts and Crafts movement, and the castle serves as an early example of reinforced concrete architecture with forty-four rooms, two hundred windows, and eighteen fireplaces.

 

Offered on Saturdays and Sundays from December 2 through December 31, these special days allow you to explore the 2023 Holiday Lights Meander tour route at your own pace!

Our knowledgeable tour guides are available along the holiday route to answer questions and make this a seasonal experience to remember for the whole family.

The 26th annual fine art exhibit and sale in memory of George Bramhall will be held at the Inn at Fox Briar Farm (300 Carousel Lane, Doylestown, PA, near Peddlers Village) on November 3rd and 4th, 2023. The proceeds will benefit Dr. Margie Clapper’s research in “Never Smokers Lung Cancer” at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Art in the Barn will begin with a sponsor preview party on Friday night, November 3, from 6–9 pm for our 2022-2023 sponsors. The evening will be filled with beautiful works of art created by local artists to view and purchase, delicious hors d’oeuvres, our specialty cocktail, wine, and live music. The show will continue on Saturday, November 4, from 10 am-5 pm and will be open to the public with free admission. Each artist will generously donate 35% of their sales to Never Smokers Lung Cancer Research. Become a sponsor and attend the November 3 party or the free show on November 4.
